A little about Amy…
In April 2005, The Salt Lake Tribune featured Amy Conn on the front page of the Sport’s section, Running through Adversity: "Amy Conn will run the Salt Lake City Marathon four days before undergoing chemotherapy and one month following a lumpectomy."
In 2006, after a year of completing her own regiment of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Amy began the program A Quality Life Community (QLC): Yoga for Survivors, Caregivers, Loved Ones; a free class for people who desired a healing program that would extend beyond the doctor’s appointments.
2nd edition to be released around Christmas time!
The secret of cancer is to not feed it, not give it any recognition beyond what is necessary, and not give it attention. Rather, love the working, healthy parts of the body. Love the parts that are nourishing and life giving. Self-acceptance begins with the self.
In 2024, Amy retired after teaching 34 years as school teacher with an emphasis on PE and Special Ed.
Amy holds teacher licenses in Special Education, Physical Education and as a Yoga Instructor. One of her passions will always be teaching Yoga to pre-teens and teenagers.
Home
Amy lives with her husband, Firefighter/Paramedic Capt. Michael Conn and her animals. Her grown children have been raised in and out of yoga studios and are currently on their own spirit path.
Amy finds respite from her active life in the mountains surrounding her home. Almost every weekend, Amy can be seen hiking with her dogs up a mountain trail stopping at the top for a brief meditation.

How Can We Assist YOU?
Yoga for Wellness is a practice intended to assist the student practitioner to DISCOVER their practice regardless of the “level” the student perceives themselves to be at that moment.
As our bodies change through various mobility stages, Yoga for Wellness will meet you at your beginning and progress through your practice with you. Yoga for Wellness is also about self discovery, self awareness and Fun! We like to integrate the “JOMO” in life. (Joy of Missing Out - in other words, removing Fear and replacing it with Joy. Taking a “time out” from things that can create stress; feeling the moment joyfully)
