Traditions (OLD and NEW)
Sharing experiences—like foods, sights, smells, and activities—links us to our past and to each other. So it’s no wonder the traditions we follow with the people we care about mean so much.

Gallivan Center
Christmas Eve
This year, our kids flew in from their far away homes and expressed to us that they were just too poor to be able to purchase presents for one another. We thought about it and decided, “Why not celebrate An Events Christmas instead?”
You know:
Favorite Christmas movie
Favorite dinners
Christmas Carol at our friend’s house
Watch Die Hard
Each person prepare a meal
Play poker with friends following Christmas dinner
See Wicked at the movie theatre
And … go ice skating at the Gallivan’s Center on Christmas Eve
Abigail leaves tomorrow and this is precisely what we have done during our Winter Break. It’s been lovely.
I remember watching this movie with two kids that I was babysitting. It captured this EVENTS CHRISTMAS perfectly.
I don’t think there is a better way to celebrate Christmas than spending time with your loved ones, understanding each other deeply, and spreading joy and love wherever you can.
THAT Christmas
Netflix, 2024
I hope this holiday (no matter what you celebrate) finds you filled with joy, love and happiness. I wish you contentment in simply being able to spend time with one another.
Afterall, this is all that we really need.
Right?
In the meantime,
