Invitation
Join Amy Conn and Jeannette Snyder for a weekend of writing, creating, yoga-ing, and adventuring in Moab, Utah! Allow Utah's red-rock desert to inspire you as you step away from your daily life and into the expanse of the creative process.
We invite you to nestle in with us at a Spanish Valley Vineyard home where like-minded creatives for a weekend that balances focus and fun.
You’ll enjoy both facilitated and self-directed writing opportunities, yoga and movement, meditation, hot tub, camaraderie, and the unmatched beauty of Southern Utah.
Whether you are writing your sci-fi opus, memoir, a short story, lyrics, poetry, or if you simply know you have something to write/say and you crave space to get it unstuck, you’re invited. We also extend an invitation to dedicated painters, illustrators, photographers, knitters and crochet mavens, or even magicians (who can keep quiet and self-contained at the appropriate times) to join us in this space. While our focus is on writing—and we absolutely will invite you to do some of that!—you get to decide how you’d like to focus.
Your Instructors
Jeannette Snyder
Jeannette is an editor and writing coach, facilitator, writer, and mischief maker. She works collaboratively with authors to help them take their work to the next level. She also teaches Toward Erotica, a live writing circle that invites you to share your intimate truths. In her former career as a Learning Experience Designer and Technical Writer, Jeannette infused dry-as-toast training with as much humanity, humor, and joy as they let her get away with!
Jeannette is currently writing about Bigfoot, her cat, and what it’s like to be a stepmom—different projects, she assures you. She is a poet-at-heart whose soul was cracked wide open by the full moon on the Kaibab plateau in 2008, and she’s (thankfully) never recovered.
