(arrr-arrr)

Due to menopause being a largely invisible and under-discussed topic in wider society, women often deal with menopause-related complications on their own. Social support and awareness have been shown to reduce negative menopausal experiences; however, lack of menopause knowledge, particularly among younger people, may deter support for women suffering from menopause symptoms.

So… I would like to introduce to you my long-time friend, Katie.

Co-Facilitated with my friend Katie Ward DNP, WHNP
Adjunct Professor, Obstetrics And Gynecology
Professor (Clinical), College Of Nursing

Dr.  Ward has established herself as an expert and local resource in family planning, abnormal pap management, chronic pelvic pain, and sexual health. She is the former Executive Director of MS and DNP Programs at the University of Utah College of Nursing and was previously the Director of the Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program. Dr Ward maintains a clinical practice with BirthCare HealthCare as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Dr. Katie Ward passed the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) competency examination. This means that she is the first NCMP in the University of Utah Health System!

As the definitive resource for menopause and other midlife health care issues, NAMS developed a competency examination program in 2002 to set the standards for menopause practice, and assist women in locating clinicians who could provide optimal menopause-related health care.

The Gland Finale will offer you …

… a day retreat to give you the tools you need to adapt to the change in a healthy and positive way through yoga. I’m offering wellness tools that won’t fight nature, but rather address physical, emotional and lifestyle issues to help improve your lifestyle and renew your energy.
