Passage of Time

( ... somehow doesn’t take anytime at all)

Time /tʌɪm/ noun

The indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future.

The Grateful Academic

In this blog written by the Grateful Academic, the author wrote about the passage of time following the year we spent isolated during the pandemic. The author addressed the passage of time in 4 ways: Awareness, Relativity, Perspective and Expectation.

I’ve written about the pandemic before and from many perspectives, specifically: The Teacher and The Student. Taking this approach first helped me to understand the other 3 ways of viewing the passage of time; primarily Expectation.

… and yet, I always end in the same place: Awareness.

How we GET to Awareness is often done through the same ol’ practice me and my cohorts have been teaching all along: practice of mindfulness.

Allowing ourselves to lose time and completely immerse ourselves in things we love is a way of influencing time or at least our perception of it.

It can be an incredibly exciting and

uplifting feeling!

We are currently living in a time that can challenge our very core emotionally and psychologically. Please care for yourself in ways that help yourself, not hurt yourself.
