Self Care begins with SELF

Salt Lake City Reiki

Putting aside some time that's truly for yourself means you get to spend time on your own, doing what you want to do, not what anyone else thinks you should be doing.

A little secret of mine. Upon awakening in the morning, I let the dogs out, turn on the La Pavoni (painstakingly refurbished by my husband), ask “Alexa” (Siri’s cousin) to play Joni Mitchell and then I light the fireplace.

Self Care Rituals

Is this luxury?

Is this selfish behavior?

Is this necessary?

Well, to be honest, I would have to say “YES!” to all of the above.

It’s how I start my day regardless of the time. When I worked, I would do this at 4:15 am. If I don’t have any appointments, I do this at 6:00 am.

It’s one of the things that I offer myself for myself.

Mental Health America writes, “There are always a handful of roles that each of us is juggling. If you are a parent, a student, an employee, a caretaker, someone struggling with a mental health concern, or are just feeling overwhelmed with the responsibilities of day-to-day life, the idea of taking time for yourself may seem unimaginable. Sometimes it can be difficult to even take basic care of ourselves - but there are small things that can be done to make self-care and taking time for ourselves a little bit easier.”

Another self care offerings is this. Reiki.

This practice is extended to Pre-Teens and Teens as well!

A Reiki for Teens article on Self Care writes, “It’s easy for teenagers to get caught up in their problems and forget about taking care of themselves physically, mentally and emotionally.”

Please feel free to contact me via Text or Email to book an appointment. I’m currently offering free sessions with a trade of a testimonial until I complete my Level 3 & 4 certifications in May.
