Riders and Writers Retreat

From Noon on October 19th to 4:00p.m. on the 22nd, we will journey together over three beautiful days absorbing the Fall Season of the Northern Uintas in the upper plateaus of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. 

Together we will experience the offerings of abundance during the harvest moon while tree leaves change tones and the mountain air introduces a crispness to the night air. The natural world invites the brilliant dance of change! 


Wolf Creek Outpost is located just 90 minutes from Salt Lake City but looks and feels nested away in acres of forest and the quiet of the mountain sky. It’s breathtaking.


Kaydean Baker McInnis and Amy Conn will guide you through a journey of Natural Horsemanship, Writing, Meditation and Yoga alongside ranch owner Chas who will act as our nature and sweat lodge guide. We are fortunate to be a part of this team of teachers.

Enjoy a wonderful creative day filled with the things you long for but rarely have the opportunity, the time, the place to practice: Yoga, Art and great food with new and familiar friends all in one lovely afternoon!

Samantha Dasilva and Amy Conn invite you to a day where your brain is allowed to ease its busy-ness of the day enough so that creative juices can flow from your heart to your hand onto a canvas. 

Guided by a nationally acclaimed local artist, Samantha will expertly teach you a combination of technique and inspiration to allow your natural skills (perhaps some you were not aware of) to flow onto a canvas that you can call all your own.

Amy will set the mood through a grounding pranayama practice, vinyasa flow and closing with a guided meditation. Oftentimes the ‘Monkey Brain’ within our mind extends throughout our body, when suddenly we find ourselves accustomed to agitation on a regular basis; allow Amy to introduce stillness, calm and creative flow to your body, mind and spirit.

Just when you think the day couldn’t get any more magical, we will feed you a catered organic vegetarian meal to fill up your body while you’re filling up your soul.

Our intention for this retreat is to offer you movement, both literally and figuratively—movement of the body, movement of the mind, movement of the soul. We intend to help you find flow and inspiration as you disconnect from the responsibilities and distractions that keep your project on the back burner. We intend for you to connect with your body, your creative center, and the other writers to come out of the weekend refreshed and available to your creative life.
